Job Overview: The Senior Business Development Managerβs responsibilities include securing and managing activation business from top corporate clients, along with the sale of media assets, on-ground properties, and other BTL promotions.
The role focuses on developing new accounts and managing existing ones, collaborating with relevant departments to better address client needs, providing regular updates to senior management, and upselling company solutions wherever possible. The incumbent should be able to identify new business opportunities through market understanding, new launches, category trends, and client referrals. Responsibilities and Duties: Revenue & Target Achievement Own and deliver assigned annual revenue and sales targets for activation business, media assets, on-ground properties, and other BTL promotions.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual performance metrics, including new-business value and account growth. Business Development & Lead Generation Generate new leads and convert them into business for the company, working from a self-built and continuously updated database of relevant clients. Identify new business opportunities through market understanding, tracking of new launches and category trends, and client referrals.
Track competition and market movements to inform pitch and pricing strategy. Client Management Develop new accounts and build rapport with new and existing clients to grow business and wallet share. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
Manage complex negotiations and close contracts to secure new business. Strategy & Planning Develop and implement a strategic business development plan aligned to company goals and objectives. Mentor junior team members and guide them on strategies to win and execute business.
Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with the Operations and Ideation teams to ensure successful delivery and execution of new business initiatives. Prepare SOP documents and process notes to enable a smooth handover from sales to execution. Provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline, conversions, and account health.
Presentations & Proposals Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and partners. Specific Skills: Education Level: MBA in Marketing is preferred Experience: Minimum 8β10 years in business development / sales, with a minimum of 2 years in the events and activation industry Area of Experience: Preferred from Agency / Media / Events / BTL Communication: Excellent in English and the local language Key Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, networking, time management, revenue growth, and strong presentation skills Benefits: Cell phone reimbursement.
