Consultant General Surgeon - West Yorkshire

OneHealth is looking for a fellowship-trained General Surgery Consultant tosupport and grow the One Health Group General Surgery Team. Thesuccessful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in aprivate or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetictelephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.

You should currently be in a substantive NHS post OR in a long-termlocum post (more than 12 months) If not in current NHS post, should have been a substantive NHSconsultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS On GMC register and have no hearings or restrictions Should have relevant sub specialist qualifications (FRCS {Orth}) Be on the specialist register Main duties of the job This role will involve assessing andoperating on NHS patients referred to One Health, via the NHS e-ReferralSystem. Appointments will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites,with a specific focus on WestYorkshire. Operations will take place within a rangeof independent sector hospitals, the Consultant must therefore be prepared totravel.

Person Specification Experience You will have strong written/verbal communication in the English language. You will have experience of using Microsoft office packages, Excel, Word and Outlook. Will have experience working within a similar role in a private or NHS setting.
