Company Description Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services has been established two years and due to demand for our services we are delighted to be offering more employment opportunities . The service takes a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy to help individuals maximize their functional independence and participation in daily life. Therapists provide assessments and interventions in varied environments, including clinics, schools, and community settings.

Role Description This is a full-time or part time ( term time only ) on-site role for a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist based in Liverpool. The role involves providing specialist assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with a range of developmental, neurological, and physical needs in clinic, school, and home settings. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, setting functional goals, and using standardized assessment tools to monitor progress.

The therapist will liaise closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals, providing written reports, recommendations, and training where appropriate. The role also includes maintaining accurate clinical records, contributing to service development, participating in supervision and CPD, and working within our team or experienced Occupational Therapists and Assistants. Qualifications Recognized degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist in the UK.

Specialist clinical skills in paediatric occupational therapy, including assessment and intervention for children with developmental, neurological, and physical conditions. (Minimum 1 year) Strong abilities in functional assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and outcome measurement using standardized tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with children, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams. Sound knowledge of child development, sensory processing, and evidence-based paediatric OT approaches (e.g., fine motor, gross motor, handwriting, ADL training).

Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize workload, and work autonomously while contributing to a supportive team environment. Experience working in community, clinic, or school-based paediatric settings is highly desirable; experience in private practice is an advantage. Commitment to reflective practice, ongoing professional development, safeguarding, and adherence to relevant professional and ethical standards.
