Head of Commercial Marketing We are looking for a strategic commercial leader to drive the transformation of Plantations & Purple Patch Farms from a commodity-led plantation business into a premium, market-led agri enterprise. This is not a conventional marketing role. This is a high-impact commercial leadership mandate focused on: โ Price realization โ Premium market positioning โ Specialty coffee & branded produce growth โ Channel-wise revenue strategy โ Plantation-to-market value creation Reporting To: Executive Director About Us Nestled in the Western Ghats , Plantations is pioneering a biodiversity-driven polyculture ecosystem integrating: โข Specialty Coffee โข Cocoa & Tea โข Mangosteen โข Avocados โข Rambutan โข Grapefruit โข Premium strawberries & greens through Purple Patch Farms We believe the future of agriculture lies in sustainable agroforestry, premium quality, traceability, and direct market relationships.
Key Responsibilities โ Commercial & Revenue Leadership โข Own price realization across all product categories โข Build differentiated pricing strategies across: โ Traders & Wholesalers โ Modern Retail โ HoReCa โ Specialty Coffee Buyers & Chains โ Specialty Coffee & B2B Growth โข Build relationships with roasters, importers, specialty buyers & coffee chains โข Position coffee as estate-specific, traceable & consistent in cup profile โข Lead crop narratives, sample dispatches & contract negotiations Brand Storytelling & Digital Growth โข Build premium origin stories around Western Ghats plantation heritage โข Drive digital marketing & brand storytelling across B2C and premium B2B channels โข Develop authentic packaging and communication reflecting sustainability, biodiversity & plantation authenticity โข Scale online brand visibility through content, storytelling, partnerships & premium positioning Cross Functional Leadership โข Work closely with plantation operations, supply chain & buyers โข Lead market visits, buyer education & strategic partnerships โข Act as the external voice of the company across markets and institutions. Ideal Candidate โ 8- 12 years experience in: Agri commodities | Fresh Produce | Food Exports | Specialty Coffee โ Strong exposure to: โข Commercial negotiations โข Estate/farm environments โข Premium food or agri brands โข Revenue-led market development โ Comfortable operating across: Plantations | Markets | Boardrooms โ A long-term value builder who respects land, labour & legacy.
