Role overview Following a recent Workday go-live, we are seeking a Workday HCM Functional Specialist to take end-to-end ownership of the HR side of the Workday system. This role is responsible for all Workday HCM system-related activities, from day-to-day functional support to configuration, optimisation, enhancements, and production deployment.

The consultant will act as the primary functional owner of Workday for HR, ensuring the system continues to meet business needs post-implementation. Key responsibilities Act as the primary functional owner of Workday for all HR-related system matters; Provide end-to-end post-implementation support across Workday HCM; Own the full lifecycle of changes: requirements intake, design, configuration, testing, and deployment to production; Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules, business processes, eligibility rules, and security-related functional settings; Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent functional issues; Partner with HR stakeholders to translate business needs into Workday solutions; Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of HR processes within Workday; Manage and support incremental rollouts, enhancements, and new configurations; Coordinate with Payroll, IT, and integration partners where required; Validate data, manage system changes, and ensure ongoing stability; Maintain functional documentation, testing evidence, and configuration records.
