THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER . Hybrid work, once a week to Office. This is a Contingent Worker operational role designed for someone who will grow into a procurement process owner .

You are expected to deliver excellent requisition-to-pay execution and stakeholder service; over time you’ll learn to map and improve processes, pilot digitization and automation, and lead small projects that reduce manual effort and friction. We’re looking for a hands-on doer with a growth mindset who wants to develop business acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to influence cross-functional partners. Business language for this role is fluent English.

Required skills- 5+ years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, AP support, customer service, or operational roles. Comfortable learning Ariba (or similar procurement system), SAP (or similar), Excel and other tools. Strong attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and good written/verbal communication.

Day-to-day responsibilities (+ development pathway) : Core operational work- Purchase requisition & order review: Review and process purchase requisitions and orders in Ariba (or equivalent): validate categories, pricing, approvals and other compliance details. Manage quarter-end volume requisition spikes by coordinating with the full team, prioritizing work, liaising with AP/Finance and stakeholders, and ensuring SLAs, accuracy and rapid issue resolution during peak periods.

Employee support & case management: Serve as a primary contact for procurement inquiries via case management application, email, Slack, and Teams; resolve exceptions or escalate. Invoice & AP reconciliation: Coordinate with Accounts Payable and employees in resolution of invoice payment/PO issues. Catalog Management : Maintain supplier catalog items and help ensure catalogs are accurate.

Process & digitization support (developmental)- Help map current purchasing flows and document procedures. Support improvement efforts: collect data, run root-cause analysis, test simple fixes, and document results. Learn and apply AI capabilities to augment daily procurement work, and track measurable improvements in efficiency and accuracy.

Assist with digitization pilots (workflow changes, Ariba configurations, RPA/AI test cases) and user acceptance testing. Prepare training materials, FAQs and communications for new processes. Growing into process ownership- Under guidance, take lead on small projects (e.g., reduce number of repeat exceptions, automate a manual step) and report outcomes.

Use metrics (cycle time, error rates, SLA adherence) to prioritize work and measure impact. Build collaborative relationships with Sourcing, Finance Business Partners, AP, IT (ESE) and suppliers to test and scale improvements. Preferred skills- Any exposure to process mapping, simple analytics, or experience through class project, internship or on-the-job training.
