WordPress Developer & Team Lead

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive technical excellence, mentor a team of developers, and deliver high-quality WordPress solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to guide, mentor, and inspire a development team.

Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of WordPress developers, establishing coding standards and best practices Architect and develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and websites from scratch Own end-to-end project delivery, including technical planning, estimation, development, deployment, and post-launch support Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to performance, security, and quality standards Collaborate with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Troubleshoot complex issues related to performance, security, and compatibility Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, Gutenberg developments, and PHP ecosystem advancements Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development of team members Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of hands-on WordPress development experience Prior experience leading or mentoring developers Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Proven expertise in custom theme and plugin development (not limited to page builders) Experience with WooCommerce and WordPress REST API Proficiency with Git, version control, and deployment workflows Strong understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience with headless WordPress architecture Knowledge of server administration, caching, and CDN configuration Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Contributions to open-source WordPress projects What We Offer Leadership role with real ownership and decision-making authority Competitive salary and benefits package Collaborative work environment that values quality and innovation Opportunities for continuous learning and career growth Exposure to diverse and challenging projects How to Apply Interested candidates can apply directly through LinkedIn or send their resume and portfolio to [email protected]
