The purpose of this job is to support and work on remediation of vulnerabilities and support Windows Systems, Virtualization, implementing and troubleshooting of critical IT systems.

This position will also handle escalated incidents and perform root‑cause analysis of any problems that may arise from Incident Reports (IR) or proactive needs for business.

Responsibilities

  • Vulnerability remediation.
  • Configuring and administering Windows Server 2008/2012/2016.
  • Handling Exchange 2016 and Outlook related issues.
  • Maintaining servers in physical and virtual environments with maximum uptime.
  • Troubleshooting Windows OS issues and handling escalated L3 issues.
  • Managing Windows security, including file system permissions, file sharing, event logging, performance monitoring and disk administration.
  • Active Directory and network infrastructure management (forest and domain).
  • Providing third‑level support for all server‑related issues and implementing security policy and virus protection.
  • Participating in system builds, upgrades, migrations and patch management.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation of technologies, standards and procedures.
  • Administering server consolidation using VMware ESX and Virtual Center, creating VMs, building VM templates, and scheduling tasks.
  • Assisting in P2V and V2V conversions of Windows Server editions using VMware converter and installing VMware tools.
  • Hardening and monitoring VM ESX servers for security compliance.
  • Troubleshooting server hardware via ILO and HP SIM.
  • Upgrading firmware on physical servers (HP, Dell, IBM).
  • Performance optimization and systematic troubleshooting of server problems.
  • Customizing VM resources (memory, hard disk, NIC) and analyzing logs.
  • Installing HP ProLiant Blade Servers, Dell PowerEdge Servers across data centers.
  • Creating new VMware virtual machines per client specifications.
  • Participating in on‑call rotations to support production while maintaining SLA’s.
  • Providing evidence and analysis to support project requirements.
  • Handling day‑to‑day incidents and requests within SLA for Windows environments.
  • Escalating support within the Windows team.
  • Managing and completing assigned projects.
  • Willingness to work varying shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Technology with a Computers or Information Technology (IT) stream.
  • OR: A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related field.

  • Effective interaction with upper management for presentation of new functionality and problem resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Capital Markets domain knowledge (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Incident, Problem & Change management.
  • Knowledge of BMC Control‑M (CM), Cross File Transfer (CFT), Connect‑Direct, and NetBackup (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting.
  • Technical and system expertise in relevant IT workstreams.
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for complex issues.
  • Specialized knowledge in specific areas for intricate problems.
  • Collaboration with L1 Support for guidance and insight.
  • Strong communication and time‑management skills.
  • Timely escalation to L3 support when higher expertise is required.
  • Stakeholder interaction for implementation of new functionality.

Experience

Four to five years (4‑5) of relevant experience.
