Web Game Developer (WebGL / Unity WebGL Focus) Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000/month About the Role We are looking for a versatile Web Game Developer with strong expertise in WebGL, Unity WebGL exports, and browser-based game development to join our team. You will work across the complete game development pipeline, from building interactive 2D/3D web experiences to optimizing performance and deploying scalable browser games. The ideal candidate is passionate about rendering technologies, understands cross-browser limitations, and can deliver smooth gameplay experiences across desktop and mobile devices.
Key Responsibilities • Build interactive browser-based games using WebGL, Three.js, Babylon.js, and Phaser.js. • Export and optimize Unity projects for WebGL deployment. • Optimize memory usage, loading speed, build size, and rendering performance. • Reduce draw calls and GPU bottlenecks using texture compression, LOD systems, culling, and asset optimization. • Ensure smooth gameplay across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and mobile browsers. • Integrate 2D/3D assets, animations, UI systems, and gameplay elements. • Manage deployment workflows using Webpack, Vite, CDN integrations, and Git. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and C#. • Experience with Three.js, Babylon.js, Phaser.js, and Unity WebGL pipeline. • Solid understanding of WebGL fundamentals, GLSL shaders, render pipelines, and browser memory management. • Experience optimizing browser games for desktop and mobile devices. • Familiarity with Addressables, lazy loading, and asset bundling. • Ability to debug browser-specific rendering and performance issues. • Proven portfolio of browser-based or WebGL games. Nice to Have • Experience with WebGPU and WebAssembly (WASM). • Familiarity with Firebase, Photon, or WebSockets. • Experience with Spine 2D or Mixamo animations. • Knowledge of HTML5 game monetization and ad-network SDKs. • Experience publishing games on platforms like itch.io, Poki, CrazyGames, or Newgrounds.
Preferred Candidate Experience • Shipping browser-based WebGL games. • Unity WebGL optimization and deployment. • GLSL shader development. • Texture compression workflows. • Object pooling and dynamic asset loading. • Browser performance profiling and debugging. • Cross-browser UI implementation.
