Job Description – KVM Developer Role: KVM Developer Location: Remote Language: English Project Overview The project requires expert-level support and consulting across Garden Linux, KVM-based virtualization, and the Kubernetes platform. The primary objective is to ensure stable operations, advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous optimization across the complete infrastructure stack. Key Responsibilities 1.

Garden Linux Configure, deploy, and maintain Garden Linux environments Troubleshoot operating system, kernel, and package-related issues Debug custom image builds and runtime behavior Perform system performance tuning and OS hardening 2. KVM Virtualization (Core Focus) Set up and integrate KVM-based virtualization environments using Cloud Hypervisor, QEMU, and Libvirt Troubleshoot hypervisor and virtual machine issues Optimize compute, networking, and storage performance Debug and tune virtualization configurations 3. Gardener Kubernetes Platform Troubleshoot Gardener control plane and shoot clusters Perform root cause analysis for platform and cluster failures Optimize platform configurations and operational stability Support integration activities across the infrastructure stack Required Skills & Expertise Strong expertise in KVM, QEMU, and Libvirt (mandatory) Hands-on experience with Cloud Hypervisor environments Strong Linux administration skills, especially Debian-based systems Knowledge of kernel operations, systemd, and OS hardening Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Gardener platform operations Experience with networking concepts including VLANs, bridges, and SDN Experience with storage technologies such as NFS Scripting and automation skills in Golang, Python, and Bash Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Perses Deliverables Incident and troubleshooting reports Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation for P1/P2 incidents Configuration optimization and improvement recommendations Best practices and operational documentation Knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams
