Warehouse Operatives / Order Pickers Required!

Location: Bilsthorpe, NG22
Pay: £13.32 - £13.54 per hour + weekly shift premium
Overtime: Time and a half after 39 hours
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives / Order Pickers to join a leading temperature-controlled distribution operation in Bilsthorpe.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent, with a choice of shift patterns available across both the ambient and chilled departments.

The Role

As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders within a busy warehouse environment.

Your duties will include:

• Picking palletised stock using a voice-operated headset
• Using PPTs and other MHE to move stock safely around the warehouse
• Processing inbound and outbound orders accurately
• Working to productivity and accuracy targets
• Loading and unloading stock
• Manual handling and lifting of items up to 25kg
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and health and safety

Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.

Experience using voice picking systems, headset picking, PPTs or other MHE would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

Chilled Department

The chilled roles involve working in a temperature-controlled environment.

Candidates applying for chilled positions must be comfortable working in these conditions. Full PPE will be provided.

Pay & Shift Premiums

AMBIENT DEPARTMENT

• £13.32 per hour
• £100 weekly shift premium on 5 out of 6 shift patterns
• £60 weekly shift premium on Sunday to Thursday shift pattern

CHILLED DEPARTMENT

• £13.54 per hour
• £100 weekly shift premium on 5 out of 6 shift patterns

OVERTIME

• Time and a half after 39 hours worked

Shift Patterns Available

AMBIENT

5pm - 1am | 5 out of 6 days
£13.32 per hour + £100 weekly shift premium

10pm - 6am | Sunday to Thursday
£13.32 per hour + £60 weekly shift premium

CHILLED

10pm - 6am | 5 out of 6 days
£13.54 per hour + £100 weekly shift premium

11pm - 7am | 5 out of 6 days
£13.54 per hour + £100 weekly shift premium

Saturday is always a day off on the 5 out of 6 shift patterns.

Location

The site is based in Bilsthorpe, NG22.

Own transport is essential due to the location and shift times, as there is limited/no public transport available to the site.

Paid Induction

The induction week is fully paid and will run:

Sunday 4th October to Thursday 8th October
4pm - midnight each day

All successful candidates will complete the induction week before moving onto their allocated shift pattern.
