Hours: 0900 - 1800 (with some flexibility)

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative to join our busy Speedy Freight team.

This is a varied role where you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the warehouse — from goods in and order picking through to labelling, loading vehicles and getting everything ready for dispatch.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in getting things right and can keep things moving when the warehouse gets busy. There’s also the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and support the wider operation when the Warehouse Manager is away.

What you’ll be doing

• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Labelling and checking outbound shipments ready for dispatch
• Loading vehicles safely and making sure everything is ready on time
• Unloading deliveries and containers, checking goods and putting stock away correctly
• Using warehouse systems and scanning equipment to keep stock and orders up to date
• Keeping the warehouse organised, clean and safe
• Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices
• Supporting the Warehouse Manager and stepping up to oversee the operation when required
• Working closely with the wider team to make sure customer deliveries go out accurately and on time

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have previous warehouse experience and be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Practical, dependable and happy working in a hands-on role
• Organised, with good attention to detail
• Confident using warehouse systems and computers
• Comfortable with basic Microsoft Excel
• Experienced using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• A good team player with clear communication skills
• Safety-conscious and happy to take responsibility
• Experienced using scan guns would be a bonus, but it’s not essential

Most importantly, you’ll have the right attitude, be willing to get stuck in and take pride in doing a good job.
