We Are Looking For

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective handling, storage, and distribution of aerospace components.

This role involves managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards for all Business Units.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Lead planning, organizing, and overseeing daily warehouse activities and KPI’s
  • Ensure timely and accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of products
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for efficiency
  • Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance
  • Coordinate training programs for warehouse personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Integrates seamlessly with business unit commercial leadership to align customer and business logistic priorities are met
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts
  • Implement and monitor procedures for inventory management and loss prevention
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics and performance indicators
  • Address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents
  • Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize warehouse operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to warehouse operations
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of warehouse activities
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance to senior management
  • Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Performed other duties as assigned

What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive FDH experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
  • Insightful, hands-on leader with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly skilled in engaging teams to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong project management leadership, knowledge, and skills, covering planning and execution, including ability to rapidly assess risk and identify/resolve issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task, and work well under pressure with changing priorities
