Warehouse Manager

Alfresco Emporium is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team immediately in a permanent, full-time role.

\n

This is a hands‑on leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example, and keeping a busy warehouse running smoothly in a fast‑paced retail environment.

\n

About the Role

\n

You will assist with supervising warehouse operations and delegating tasks to ensure orders, stock movements, and transfers are completed accurately and on time.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Allocating daily tasks including transfers, order fulfilment, container unloading, store trips, and ad‑hoc requests
\n
• Picking, packing, and overseeing dispatch of customer and store orders
\n
• Conducting quality control checks on outgoing stock
\n
• Receiving stock deliveries and unpacking containers
\n
• Coordinating stock movements between the warehouse and retail stores
\n
• Completing stock counts and monitoring stock quality
\n
• Training, supporting, and motivating warehouse team members
\n
• Supervising seasonal and Christmas casual staff
\n
• Ensuring safe work practices and WHS compliance
\n
• Refining and improving warehouse processes for efficiency
\n
• Managing some warehouse emails and ensuring follow‑up on tasks
\n
• Completing end‑of‑day checks and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse
\n

About You

\n

You are practical, reliable, and confident leading a team while remaining hands‑on.

\n

You’ll bring:

\n
• Previous warehouse leadership or senior warehouse experience
\n
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy boxes and furniture
\n
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask
\n
• Clear communication and customer‑focused approach
\n
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
\n
• Solid understanding of WHS practices
\n
• A forklift licence would be well regarded
\n
