Warehouse and Operations Manager
Bardown Hockey Inc.
Job Description
ABOUT US:
Bardown Sports Inc. is a trusted name in sports apparel, known for premium teamwear, bold custom designs, and a brand that reflects the passion and energy of the game. From hockey barns to lacrosse fields to baseball diamonds, our gear shows up wherever competition lives — and our service keeps teams coming back season after season. We blend sport, creativity, and community into everything we do, outfitting programs across North America, including collegiate teams, and expanding our footprint every year.
If you love the pace, passion, and culture of sport, you’ll fit right in.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for someone who loves keeping things moving — literally! As our Warehouse and Operations Manager, you’ll run the day‑to‑day flow of the warehouse — receiving product, keeping inventory tight, fulfilling orders with accuracy, and making sure every shipment reflects the quality of the Bardown brand. You’ll take ownership of the space, keep it organized, and make sure operations stay smooth, efficient, and ready for whatever the day throws at you.
But this role isn’t just about the warehouse. You’ll also help bring the Bardown experience to life at tournaments, trade shows, and events. From prepping apparel to setting up booths to representing the brand onsite, you’ll play a hands‑on part in showcasing who we are.
If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy problem‑solving, and like mixing operational work with event action, this position offers a dynamic blend of both worlds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all day‑to‑day warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Organize and maintain an efficient layout of warehouse space to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Follow and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized warehouse environment, ensuring a tidy and efficient workspace at all times.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Use inventory management systems to update, track, and verify product data.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and transportation partners.
- Complete order fulfillment for e‑commerce, retail stores, and team orders.
- Resolve shipping delays, damages, discrepancies, or logistical issues.
- Perform quality checks to ensure apparel is received, stored, and shipped to standard.
- Work with other teams to align warehouse operations with business needs.
- Communicate inventory issues or delays affecting customer orders.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, productivity, order accuracy, and KPIs.
- Track warehouse supply needs and coordinate replenishment of materials/equipment.
- Meet service‑level standards such as on‑time delivery and picking accuracy.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Support Bardown’s event operations by preparing apparel inventory, transporting materials, and setting up, staffing, and managing onsite booths to ensure strong brand representation.
- Assist with identifying and securing new tournament opportunities, including outreach and cold calling to event organizers.
- Set up and dismantle trade show booths, including coordinating the delivery and pickup of all required materials and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations, ideally within apparel, retail, or e‑commerce environments.
- Strong knowledge of core warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Experience using WMS/ERP systems to manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and product data; proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and KPI tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot logistical issues, including shipping delays, damages, and inventory discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain an efficient, clean, and well‑structured warehouse layout.
- Ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting operational needs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks related to warehouse and event operations.
- Valid driver’s licence required for deliveries, pickups, and off‑site event support.
- Experience supporting event operations (booth setup, teardown, staffing, or brand representation) is an asset.
- Comfort with outreach or cold calling when identifying and securing tournament opportunities.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to meet service level standards, including on‑time delivery and picking accuracy.
