Job Description

NORMA Pacific is seeking a hands-on Warehouse 2IC to support the Warehouse Supervisor in the day-to-day coordination of warehouse operations. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys working on the floor, leading by example, supporting team performance, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, service levels and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor with daily warehouse activities across receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control.
  • Provide clear direction and support to warehouse team members to help achieve daily operational priorities, customer delivery expectations and warehouse KPIs.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely, including reach truck operation where required.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse records, documentation and system transactions using warehouse management systems.
  • Assist with cycle counts, stock investigations, inventory accuracy and general warehouse housekeeping.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure staff, visitors and contractors follow site safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying practical ways to improve workflow, safety, accuracy and productivity.

About you

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment, ideally in a leading hand, 2IC or senior store person capacity.
  • Current LF forklift license is required; reach truck experience is highly regarded.
  • Current LO stock picker license is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, dispatch, pick/pack, inventory control and warehouse housekeeping standards.
  • Confident using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to support, coach and positively influence team members.
  • A strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, manual handling requirements and safe operating procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to safely lift and move products up to and including 20kg using correct manual handling techniques.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to prioritise tasks to meet agreed targets and customer delivery expectations.
