The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for leading fundraising, communications, and strategic partnerships. This role demands an entrepreneurial and mission-driven leader with a proven track record in advancement, particularly in the education or mission-aligned nonprofit sector. The VP will be tasked with cultivating and stewarding high-level philanthropic, corporate, and foundation relationships, and leading a multi-year fundraising strategy to significantly increase annual revenue. Strategic oversight of the company's brand, storytelling, and external communications is also a critical aspect of the position, with a focus on thought leadership that amplifies the company's influence in the national education conversation. Applicants must have at least 10 years' of senior leadership experience in advancement, with a strong background in fundraising strategies that drive substantial growth. A deep understanding of K-12 education systems, policy, and teacher development is essential, as is a history of capturing large grants and building new revenue streams. The role requires an excellent communicator with exceptional relationship-building, storytelling, and public-speaking skills, as well as a collaborative leader with a track record of building high-performing teams. Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented nonprofit or education organization is preferred, and an advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
