The successful candidate will be responsible for driving excellence in software, data, and AI, and will play a pivotal role in inspiring and empowering geographically diverse teams to achieve and exceed ambitious goals. This leadership position involves close collaboration with quality engineers, product owners, and business leaders to ensure the seamless operation of engineering processes. The VP of Engineering will also be a key partner to the CTO in strategic initiatives, from scaling the engineering organization to identifying transformative opportunities for innovation and growth. Candidates for the VP of Engineering role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with an advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 15 years of experience as a software developer, including at least 5 years in a management role with large, global software development teams, is required. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, OO concepts, design patterns, cloud architecture, AI architecture, and experience in designing scalable, distributed systems. Strong technical experience in Databricks, Snowflake, and FHIR, as well as a proven track record of leading engineering teams to develop production-grade systems, particularly in the healthcare data domain, is essential. The role demands a leader who can communicate effectively, mentor and develop talent, and is committed to the highest standards of data protection and ethical practices.
