Position: Data & AI Platforms Manager Location: onsite in San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Denver, CO, or Findlay, OH Salary: $160,000-185,000/year (depending on years of experience and location) + 20% bonus Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field 10+ years of diversified IT experience in data, analytics, or platform engineering environments 5-7+ years of people management experience within a data/analytics environment overseeing engineers, leads, and/or architects) Strong background in cloud‑based data platforms, including: Azure Synapse, Microsoft Purview, Power BI, and/or Databricks Hands‑on leadership experience with DevOps and MLOps frameworks Experience deploying and supporting AI/ML solutions in production environments Strong ability to manage contractors, external partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills Experience with Cognite data contextualization platform Agentic AI expertise in some form Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Exposure to Agentic AI solutions Experience leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives Knowledge of knowledge graph databases and industrial data use cases Experience supporting regulated environments (e.g., SOX, FERC) Background in energy, manufacturing, or industrial enterprise environments Experience scaling platforms across multiple business units or value chains Job Description: Lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of enterprise data, analytics, and AI platforms supporting business‑critical functions. Oversee DevOps, data platforms, Cognite contextualization, and AI/ML solutions used across communications and finance teams, with planned expansion into midstream. Manage and mentor a blended team of 4–7 full‑time employees and 10–15 contractors, including senior technologists, architects, and platform leads.

Drive the development of scalable, secure, and reusable data products using modern cloud platforms. Partner with business stakeholders and enterprise architects to translate business priorities into technical roadmaps and platform capabilities. Lead the design and implementation of RPA, Agentic AI, and AI/ML solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.

Establish best practices for DevOps, MLOps, monitoring, cost optimization, and incident management. Manage external partners and vendors while coaching internal teams on data platform best practices. Own team operations including staffing, performance management, budgeting, and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
