Job Overview Join the dedicated team as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and experience a rewarding role in a supportive and dynamic environment. This temporary 6‑12 month position covers maternity leave and offers a unique chance to contribute to a practice renowned for its exceptional patient and client care. About the Practice We operate across three branches, all equipped with top‑tier facilities.
Our main site boasts a dental suite with x‑ray, digital x‑ray, ultrasound, and an in‑house lab. We are proud to hold Silver status for both rabbit welfare and feline friendliness. The team, our greatest asset, comprises 10 vets, 6 registered veterinary nurses, and 5 receptionists.
With several longstanding members, the team is committed to professional development, progression, and continuous professional development. Key Responsibilities Work in theatre, inpatient care, and nurse consultations. Assist other staff as needed.
Full‑time role featuring diverse shift patterns at our main practice on Portobello High Street; only 1 out of 6 Saturdays required. Enjoy no out‑of‑hours or bank holiday cover, allowing for a balanced work‑life schedule. Qualifications & Experience Ideal candidates will bring experience in a clinical setting, though new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
You must be a qualified Veterinary Nurse and eligible to register with the RCVS. Benefits Competitive salary dependent on experience. 6 weeks pro‑rated holiday entitlement per annum (including bank holidays), with the option to buy and sell holidays. Company events and wellness programmes. £600 CPD allowance (pro‑rated).
