We manage a portfolio of leading FMCG brands including Schwartz, Energizer, Dr Oetker, San Pellegrino, Baxters, John West, PZ Cussons, Canderel, Andrex, Kleenex and Huggies to name a few. We mainly operate in the grocery sector, with growing business in Foodservice and Pharmacy. The Opportunity As a Van Sales Representative, you are the face of Stafford Lynch when you are in-store, interacting with store managers.
You will be responsible for the sales and merchandising of Stafford Lynch products and brands across all channels, based on the sales strategy, focus and priorities, which can change depending on the companys needs. You will gain experience in a busy FMCG environment with exposure to food and non-food channels. This role will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to expand their sales, influencing and people interaction skills.
Van Sales Representatives will have a flexible geographical range, enabling the team to maximise all sales channels during seasonal periods, including Christmas/Golden Qtr (Oct-Dec) and Summer. Main Duties and Responsibilities Sales Responsible for the sales development and delivery of all stores within a set geographical area NPD sell-in based on national ranging agreement by account Range extensions Follow up/through on all leads put forward by Business Development Executive, Direct Sales Manager, Brand and Account teams Support the delivery of the Golden Quarter Sales Drive Servicing of all customers as per the prevailing defined journey plan and achievement of SLAs Demonstrate flexibility and proactivity in adopting new brands, channels and promotional tools Orders, Stock & Promotions Local ranging agreed based on specific account criteria Bundle deal promotional sell-in based on flexibility of channel and brands Deal loaders specific to channel and brand on a cycle-by-cycle basis Influence ordering at store level with key stakeholders, including store managers Order capture via HHT device Stock rotation Stock management and depot management, where applicable Audits Audit capture by store based on cycle need Capture and communicate brand and competitor activity Merchandising Best-in-class merchandising, including implementation of planograms and ensuring SELs are in position Where applicable, ensure consumer promotions are activated in-store, including POS and features Where applicable, build, place and merchandise branded stands in-store Skills & Experience Full valid Category B driving licence Advanced influencing skills and evidence of delivering influence selling in a previous position/role Demonstrated skills in achieving sales growth through new business and organic growth, with evidence of delivery in a previous position/role Merchandising experience within the FMCG sector; Van Sales experience would be an advantage but is not essential Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex commercial offers/deals supported by marketing messages Ability to interface with and build positive relationships with retail stakeholders, including managers, staff and back store High-energy and self-starter Demonstrated commitment to building strong customer relationships Local retail knowledge is an advantage Important Information All applicants need to be 25 or older in order to comply with the company insurance policy.
