Job DescriptionWe are recruiting a Finance & HR Administrator for an established care provider in Co. Carlow. It is a busy, varied seat at the centre of the organisation, and it suits someone who can move from reconciling a bank account to reassuring a resident's family, then on to sorting a payroll query for a member of staff. .

What the job actually involves The finance side (the bulk of the role) Looking after ledgers and nominals on the accounting system (Sage 50 or similar) Monthly invoicing and managing the accounts receivable side with residents and families Running the creditors ledger and making sure suppliers are paid within terms Processing the fortnightly payroll Revenue and RoS filings Recording income, preparing lodgements and handling payments at the front desk Periodic reconciliations across bank, petty cash and credit card A weekly update to the Group Finance Manager The HR side Keeping the employee database accurate and up to date Setting up new starter files and maintaining staffing forecasts Issuing offer letters and contracts, and making sure every file holds the documentation the law requires Tracking Garda vetting and staying ahead of renewal dates A weekly update to the Group Head of HR The general administration side First point of contact for staff queries, and for residents and their families Corresponding with the HSE and other external bodies Administrative support to the Director of Nursing and the wider management team Maintaining occupancy statistics and schedules What we are looking for At least two years in an accounts role and at least two years in HR administration Strong Excel and Outlook, and comfort picking up new systems Confident, warm communicator, written and spoken, with fluent English Naturally organised, good with deadlines, accurate with detail Discreet and trustworthy, because you will see payroll, personnel files and resident information Able to run your own workload while still being part of a team Flexible when priorities shift, as they do in a care setting Experience in healthcare, nursing homes or another regulated environment is an advantage, though it is not essential. Attitude and reliability count for more here.
