Cover Supervisor – Liverpool Secondary School
We’re working with schools in Merseyside to recruit daily Cover Supervisors who can support on a supply basis to cover planned and unplanned sickness. You can set your own availability each week, so we welcome applications from those available part‑time or full‑time.
About the Role
You will be covering lessons across the school, either relieving classroom teachers for PPA time or covering general sickness.
Requirements
- Degree level education.
- Some experience with young people (e.g., supporting workers, youth workers).
- Personable, adaptable to different classroom situations.
Your Role as a Cover Supervisor
- Supervise pupils to complete pre‑planned work while teachers are off.
- Manage classroom behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
- Assist pupils with questions.
- Collect completed work and hand it to the Head of the Department.
- Provide feedback on lessons and pupils.
