Job Description

What you will do

  • Quotation of New Business prospects
  • Managing the pricing of assigned in-force caseload, including performing the annual renewal of rates and expenses, in-force quotes, marketings and approval of amendments
  • The management of all aspects of the financial reporting for an assigned caseload
  • Production of financial and service agreements on assigned caseload
  • Act as an Underwriting resource for various projects and departmental initiatives

What you will bring

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with sales offices, team members and other internal areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilityStrong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Prior years of experience in Group Underwriting with knowledge of products is required. Group mainframe (PAS) system, and GroupNet reporting will be considered an asset
  • Willingness to work towards a GBA or full CEBS designation under the CEBS program

The base salary for this position is between $59,800.00 - $97,700.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
