Job Description

TuffCo Glass is seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time basis.

This role involves the safe loading, transportation, delivery, and unloading of glass products to customers throughout the region. As glass products require manual handling, applicants must be physically fit and capable of performing loading and unloading duties while following all workplace health and safety requirements.

We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who takes pride in their work, values customer service, and is willing to assist within the factory when deliveries are not scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, and unload glass products safely and efficiently
  • Deliver products to customers while providing a high level of customer service
  • Ensure all loads are correctly secured and transported safely
  • Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements
  • Plan delivery routes and meet scheduled delivery times
  • Complete all required documentation, including logbooks, work/rest records, timesheets, and delivery paperwork
  • Comply with all road transport regulations, fatigue management requirements, and company policies
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions and customer documentation
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles
  • Report any incidents, accidents, vehicle defects, or safety concerns
  • Adhere to all company Workplace Health and Safety requirements
  • Assist with general factory duties on non-delivery days as required

Skills & Experience

  • Current HR Driver Licence (essential)
  • Proven experience operating HR vehicles
  • Strong understanding of road transport legislation and driver fatigue requirements
  • Physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling glass products
  • Commitment to safe work practices and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional presentation
  • Forklift Licence highly regarded but not essential
  • A positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
