Salary: $37.00 hourly (40–60 hrs/week). Location: 14120‑141 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T6V 1H7. Employer: J S Trucking Ltd.

Overview

Full‑time, permanent position. Provide transport of freight in an articulated truck, overseeing vehicle condition and maintenance. Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en route, and post‑trip inspections.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of goods.

Qualifications & Credentials

• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Documentation knowledge: accident/incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip), maintenance and repair reports, trip reports.
• Physical capability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform heavy lifting.
• Attention to detail, ability to manage a large workload, and physical stamina for demanding tasks.
