The Job

Aspion are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers for a fantastic permanent opportunity involving UK and Ireland general haulage.

Our client is looking to take on a minimum of 5 drivers, with the opportunity to join a growing operation with 20 brand-new Volvo trucks, all registered in Ireland and fitted with high-spec sleeper cabs and camera mirror systems.

The role involves Monday–Friday tramping, travelling between the UK and Ireland with tautliner / curtain-sided trailers.

And the best part? No handballing. Loads are tipped and loaded for you — your job is essentially strap it, secure it and go.

What We Need

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Maximum 6 points on your licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 experience.
• General Haulage & Curtain sider experience is highly desirable
• Comfortable with Monday–Friday tramping and travel between the UK and Ireland.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Driving a brand-new Volvo Class 1 vehicle on UK and Ireland routes.
• Completing general haulage work using tautliner / curtain-sided trailers.
• Completing regular Monday–Friday tramping.
• Travelling by ferry to and from Ireland as part of the role.
• Securing loads correctly using straps.
• Completing tip-and-load deliveries — no handballing required.
• Completing vehicle and safety checks.
• Following Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.

Interviews are being arranged for suitable drivers, with a minimum of 5 positions available.
