Treatment Nurse Director-RN Morrow, GA

Shift: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm The Treatment Nurse Director is responsible for overseeing a Treatment/Wound care team of 3 nurses. Responsible for the skin and wound care of residents with an emphasis on prevention and treatment of skin disorders. The Treatment Nurse Director follows the established nursing Care Plan and makes appropriate adjustments as resident care needs and/or physician orders change.

Reports directly to the Director of Nursing. Assists with the duties of the staff LPN or Certified Nursing Assistant when needed. DUTIES Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates skin care in residents.

Identifies, manages, and treats specific skin disorders. Performs evaluation using observation and inspection techniques. Confers with the Care Planning Team in the development of the Care Plan.

Provides and documents treatment for skin disorders within established wound care protocol and monitors ongoing skin and wound treatments. Monitors the use of preventive measures such as inspection, turning and positioning. Assists in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the needs of the resident in accordance with established medical practices, the regulatory guidelines and the policies and goals of this Facility.

Provides information to resident and caregivers on prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve the general health and psychosocial status of the resident. QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current nursing license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state. Experienced in skin care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
