Overview Location: Bristol, UK (Hybrid). This is a hybrid position primarily based in Bristol. The hybrid strategy currently requires three days a week in the office, with the option to work remotely for part of the working week.
Find out more about our culture of flexible working We give you a world of potential The Finance function is responsible for providing treasury management services in respect of both client and own funds, financial planning & analysis, financial accounting and reporting, commercial finance and tax support to all business units and functions throughout the Computershare Group. What you will do The Treasury function is responsible for the management of all monies for all client-held funds and the provision of all management reporting for the activities it undertakes both internally to the business and externally to Regulators and, where appropriate, other 3rd parties. Treasury is a fast-moving environment and manages Computershare bank accounts (approximately 13,000 in EMEA), handles all banking/payment related queries from internal and external parties, and conducts due diligence across all counterparties.
A role you will love The Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury function with analysing Computershare\'s financial activities related to cash management, liquidity management, corporate debt, foreign exchange, interest rate and payments. You’ll provide insights to Treasury to enhance Computershare\'s financial stability and growth. Key Accountabilities Administer bank account structures that facilitate the efficient flow of cash through an optimal number of banks and bank accounts (notional cash pooling, in-house bank, sweeps between banks).
Implement global bank account management processes: management of bank mandates; Know Your Customer activities; opening and closing of accounts; bank fee analysis; and administration of banking portals. Execute regional liquidity management processes: short-term cash flow forecasting; determine liquidity needs; and interest collection management. Execute on surplus and deficit in cash positions to determine cash movements, investments and borrowings.
Monitor daily cash positions and forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity. Execute confirmations: support routine trade/transactions instructions and valuation of financial products. Monitor bank fees and discussions with banks on day-to-day elements; support strategic banking relationship activities.
Execute payment processes such as transaction preparation, initiation, queries, approvals, flows, settlements, reconciliations, stop cheques, and calculation/payment of interest earned by clients on investments held by Computershare. Process regional periodic reporting of risk, cash balance, cash flow, client balance and margin income; analyse and report on trends. Execute treasury accounting processes for month-end and year-end.
Implement regional compliance processes with regulatory bodies and treasury policy; regional due diligence in new and existing bank counterparties; perform compliance checks prior to payment release. Identify and make recommendations for process improvements and contribute to ad hoc projects. Collaborate with a range of business stakeholders to identify solutions.
Work within agreed processes and procedures adhering to CPU playbooks; complete mandatory and regulatory training and stay current with external market changes.
