Finance ManagerLocation: CardiffSalary: Up to £45,000Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays)Flexibility: Part-time considered (2–3 days per week)Hybrid Working: 2–3 days per week from homeThis is a key Finance Manager role with real influence and clear progression. You will take ownership of the finance function, providing accurate reporting, strong financial control, and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with the Leadership Team, you’ll help shape the future of the organisation while developing your own career into a more senior finance leadership position.Main Duties Financial Planning & PerformanceOwn the budgeting and forecasting processDeliver accurate reconciliations, balance sheets, and performance analysisTrack results against budget and provide clear commercial insightPartner with Project Directors and the Leadership Team on financial decisionsAccounting, Invoicing & ReportingRun day-to-day finance operations, including ledgers, payables/receivables, and payroll coordinationPrepare fee applications, invoices, and supporting documentationControl procurement and business expenditureProduce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior stakeholdersIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial dataPresent financial information at internal meetings and business reviewsManage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationshipsTake ownership of aged debt, driving timely payment and building strong client relationshipsEnsure liquidity to support both day-to-day operations and future growthEnsure compliance with tax, regulatory, and internal requirementsDevelop and maintain finance strategy, procedures, and the finance handbookReview and improve financial processes and IMS documentationManage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external bodiesAct as a trusted finance partner across the businessSupport and develop colleagues in financial best practiceProvide clear, practical financial guidance to Project Managers and DirectorsGet involved in wider business initiatives as requiredWhat You’ll BringStrong commercial and analytical mindsetExcellent attention to detail with the confidence to challenge and influenceClear, engaging communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh standards of integrity and professionalismSkills and Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineProfessional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA) desirable5–8 years’ experience in finance or accounting, including managerial responsibilityStrong knowledge of invoicing, reporting, budgeting, and controlsExperience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g.
