Transportation Manager

An excellent opportunity to join an established Supply Chain and Logistics Firm in North Dublin who are expanding their already successful team in the hope of hiring a Transport Manager.

The Role

• Manage daily collection and delivery operations through subcontractors.
• Plan and manage trunking and linehaul trailer requirements.
• Monitor transport costs and support improved network profitability.
• Resolve operational issues, POD queries and customer concerns quickly.
• Produce and monitor KPI and performance reports.
• Ensure transport systems and daily costs are kept accurate and up to date.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and records are maintained.
• Manage warehouse staffing levels to ensure adequate operational cover.
• Lead, support and develop the transport/warehouse team.
• Set clear objectives and performance targets.
• Conduct appraisals and create development plans.
• Identify and support training and career development opportunities.
• Promote a positive, motivated and efficient working environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in transport or logistics management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems and KPI reporting.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.
• Confident team leader with experience managing performance.
