The Role: As a Transport Truck Driver for GFL Services, the candidate is responsible for operating various trucks to transport materials and industrial waste to sites.

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
- 1 year or more of experience operating a roll-off truck to move waste
- AZ Driver's License
- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely

Work setting
- Various sites in the Thunder Bay area in Ontario
General Tasks
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Specific Tasks
- Safely operate a roll-off truck to deliver and pick up open-top containers (20-40 yard)
- Transport waste and recycling material to designated transfer or disposal facilities
- Perform container placements in construction, commercial, and industrial environments
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation
- Navigate tight sites and position containers accurately and safely
- Communicate hazards, site issues, or equipment concerns to Operations
- Maintain clean vehicle and work areas during container service
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and driving regulations
