Trading Analyst - Middle Office

Role The purpose of the role is to deliver Joulens regulated market commitments ensuring that we meet the regulated arrangements in a timely manner maximising our success rate in the markets we endeavour to enter. Carryout analysis on market forecasts. We are seeking a self-motivated individual looking to take on a new challenge to work in an exciting and rapidly growing industry.

The role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the delivery of Joulen's long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be keen to build on some foundations or learn a new industry. Be process oriented, have good attention to detail and have strong communication skills.

Manipulation of data sets and capable of carrying out analysis and finding insight in data. This role is hybrid and will be expected to be in the Belfast office a minimum of 3 days a week, with Tuesdays being the Company anchor day. Key Responsibilities Capacity Market application processes completed and accepted.

Ancillary market applications process completed and accepted. Evaluating performance of volume forecasts. Monitor trading performance and contribute to regular reporting.

Work across the trading team to help manage collateral position effectively. Ability to investigate market nuance to communicate insights across the Trading Team. Any other duties as determined reasonable by the Head of Trading Operations.

Essential Criteria Degree level education in an energy or mathematics/data related course. Some knowledge of the energy sector, with a strong willingness to develop further. Self-motivated and results focused.

Attention to detail. Process orientated. Strong verbal and written communication skills; will be interacting with other members of the trading team and will be required to build relationships EMRS and Eirgrid.

Desirable Criteria Have worked in the energy sector before but not essential. Strong analytical capability.
