Job DescriptionTrade Counter Sales Assistant/Warehouse The Company We have been supplying roofing and building materials to the construction industry since 1953. Our customer base is nationwide, with offices in Dublin - Ballycoolin and Broomhill, Cork, and Belfast. The company has been steadily growing for many years, and the successful candidate will be joining a well-established and successful organisation.

Duties The successful candidate will work at the front desk, meeting and greeting customers, selling directly to customers, and dealing with sales calls and orders by phone and email. Responsibilities will also include stock control, supporting sales representatives on the road, and general office administration. The candidate will also be required to work in the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks and containers and picking orders for both customer collections and deliveries.

This will involve driving counterbalance and high-reach forklifts; therefore, up-to-date licences for both are required. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently at times as well as collaboratively as part of a team. This is a varied and busy role offering an excellent learning opportunity for the right candidate.

The company is highly sales-oriented, with potential opportunities to progress into a field sales representative or management position. Candidates should be commercially aware and have strong communication skills, as they will be dealing with customers at different levels.
