Job Description
PeoplePilot is hiring a Thermodynamics Engineer for an aircraft/aerospace program based in Montreal, Canada. This role can be flexible to remote work mode; candidates from Canada, the United States, or Mexico may be considered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work as a Citizen, PR, or valid work permit holder.
Rate / engagement
- Maximum rate: CAD $80/hr on C2C or CAD $70/hr for full-time engagement.
- Work mode: Montreal, Canada (Onsite/Remote).
- Travel: Must be available for short-term assignments.

In this role, you will:
- Support new aircraft program development and in-service aircraft on thermodynamics-related issues.
- Analyze aircraft ice/fog protection systems performance, zonal pressure, temperature and flowrate, avionics cooling, and general thermal analysis of systems and structures.
- Understand the systems being analyzed and how they interface with the aircraft and other aircraft systems.
- Communicate with internal systems/structures groups, system suppliers, and flight test teams to resolve issues, plan tests, analyze data, and certify modifications.
- Support the Global 7000 / 8000 thermodynamic team on activities related to bleed air systems, including wing ice protection systems, environmental control systems, ducting systems, and related areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree with coursework in fluid dynamics, atmospheric icing, and heat transfer is an asset.
- Knowledge of MS Office software and familiarity with aircraft pneumatic systems and their modeling is essential.
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 is an asset.
- Programming experience with Fortran 77/95, Visual Basic, or C/C++ is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, written communication skills, and oral communication skills.
