Territory Manager The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales performance by using an account‑based selling approach and communicating the value of intraocular lenses (IOLs) and other approved medical device products to Ophthalmic Surgeons, Hospital Outpatient Surgery Centers (HOSCs), and Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs) within an assigned geographic territory. Key Responsibilities Generate, close, and support the adoption of IOL and medical device business across ophthalmic surgery accounts. Identify, profile, and qualify target accounts; execute an account-based strategy to convert key ophthalmic surgeons and relevant personnel to adopt company medical device products.

Develop and implement a strategic, compliant territory business plan to increase customer adoption. Use product knowledge to consult with, influence, and maintain strong customer relationships. Tailor discussions based on each customer’s practice needs and clinical environment.

Consistently meet or exceed territory sales goals. Manage ongoing business planning and account development within the territory. Build a positive reputation for the organization among healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.

Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing initiatives. Prioritize time and resources effectively to maximize sales impact. Complete all administrative tasks, compliance requirements, and training on time.

Other Requirements Overnight travel may be required and will vary by territory. Participation in required training programs. Acceptable driving record.

Full‑time employment with no additional outside employment or income‑producing activities. Successful completion of pre‑employment screening. Skills & Competencies Ability to make sound decisions and take action in complex or ambiguous sales environments.

Strong initiative, accountability, and follow‑through. Demonstrated success in new product launches or growth situations. Proven, consistent track record of achieving sales results.

Ability to sell consultatively with a customer‑needs and data‑driven approach. Strong influence, persuasion, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and clinical information.

High degree of integrity and strict adherence to compliance guidelines. Qualifications / Training / Experience Essential Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device), ideally with start‑up or specialty organizations. Experience selling into hospitals and/or ASC operating rooms.

Documented, consistent record of strong sales performance. Desirable Ophthalmology sales experience. Understanding of hospital formulary processes and CMS coding.

Recent experience in the territory with established local relationships. Education Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS). Strong technical/computer abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Compensation Base salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 , plus commission. What You Can Expect Comprehensive benefits package.
