Piper Companies is looking for a Telecom Technical Analyst to join a global technology organization delivering advanced networking and telecommunications solutions in a hybrid position onsite in Ottawa, Canada. The ideal Telecom Technical Analyst will provide Tier 2 technical support for centralized policy and routing platforms, ensuring reliable performance for customer deployments. Responsibilities for the Telecom Technical Analyst Serve as a trusted technical partner for customers, owning complex escalated issues from investigation through resolution Troubleshoot production environments by analyzing logs, configurations, and system behavior to identify root causes Reproduce customer issues in lab environments and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects Support system upgrades, patches, and ongoing platform stability while participating in an on‑call rotation Qualifications for the Telecom Technical Analyst 5+ years of experience in a technical support, systems engineering, or network engineering role Must be authorized to work in Canada and able to support on‑call rotations as required Hands‑on experience supporting VoIP technologies and call signaling protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP/RTCP) Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, routing, DNS, NAT, RADIUS, and SNMP Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems in production environments Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenShift Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Compensation/Benefits for the Telecom Technical Analyst Salary range: USD $65,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience) Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Paid Holidays This job opens for applications on 4/13/2026.
