Job Description
Position Summary Responsible for leading manufacturing support services, which include: Advance Manufacturing/Documentation, Test Engineering, Production Technologists, Process Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment and Facilities Maintenance, and Production Training. Responsibilities Ensures safe working conditions within manufacturing. Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Lead by example. Drives Advance Manufacturing for new product introduction (DFM, DFT), including new process introduction/qualification and labour standards for processes. Follow APQP processes (PPAP, FMEA, CP) Accountable for overall process performance; YOY efficiency, quality, capacity and capability improvements Lead and support Zero Defect & Lean Manufacturing programs, as well as Kaizen activities in Value Streams. (5S, TPM, VSM, SPC) Identification of strategic capital equipment based on current and future business needs and product development plans Manages manufacturing support within budget constraints. Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management. Ensures that the facility conforms to local, provincial, and federal government regulations.
Facilitates delivery of manufacturing training. Qualifications Bachelorโs degree in a technical or business discipline Five to Ten years related experience in a high-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment Excellent knowledge of management and electronics industry practices, PCBA products and technology capabilities Knowledge of business and operational processes Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others, typically acquired through ten or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership role Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
