Position: Technical Sales Manager Salary: 6-10 LPA (Negotiable - Commensurate with candidate profile and experience) Experience: 4 years Employment Type: Full-time Work Timings: 9:15 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Location: Mohali, Chandigarh Job Summary Bioage Technologies designs and manufactures fermenters, bioreactors, lab equipment, and downstream processing equipment for customers across biotech, biopharma, food, pharma, agriculture, and research segments in India and growing export markets. We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales team, drive technical sales across BIOAGE’s product lines, and engage with customers to translate their bioprocess requirements into BIOAGE's product solutions.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the technical sales team across regions - setting clear performance expectations and coaching the team on both technical and commercial skills. Sales Strategy & Targets: Define and own the sales strategy, set regional and individual targets, and drive the team to achieve and exceed revenue goals for BIOAGE's bioprocessing and lab equipment lines. Customer Engagement: Personally engage with key and strategic customers across biotech, biopharma, food, pharma, agriculture, and research segments, translating their process requirements into BIOAGE product solutions.
Technical Consultation: Understand and communicate the technical specifications and applications of BIOAGE's fermenters, bioreactors, water purification systems (Type I/II/III), TFF and other downstream processing equipment, and specialty instruments to customers and to the sales team. Pipeline & Forecasting: Manage the sales pipeline on the CRM, conduct regular team reviews, and provide accurate forecasts to senior leadership. Proposals & Negotiations: Oversee preparation of technical sales proposals and quotations, guide the team on commercial negotiations, and personally lead closures on strategic accounts.
Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Business Development, Tendering, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to execution. Market Intelligence & Growth: Identify new market opportunities, track competitor activity, and contribute to product positioning and pricing decisions across domestic and export segments. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related life sciences / engineering field.
An MBA or equivalent management qualification is a plus. Experience: Minimum 4 years in technical sales of scientific / bioprocessing / lab equipment, with at least 1 year in a team leadership or sales management capacity. Experience in biotech, biopharma, pharma, or related equipment sectors is strongly preferred.
Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and grow a geographically distributed sales team. Strong technical understanding of bioprocessing equipment - fermenters, bioreactors, water purification systems (Type I/II/III), TFF / UF / MF / NF systems, and specialty instruments. Hands-on proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline and team management.
ERPNext CRM (preferred); Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM acceptable. Sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and revenue reporting at a national scale. Preparation and review of technical sales proposals, quotations, and commercial negotiations.
Awareness of ISO 9001, GMP, and CE standards for pitching to regulated customers. Strong written and verbal communication in English and Hindi. Other Requirements: Willingness and availability to travel extensively across India for customer visits, team reviews, and industry events.
Prior exposure to the biotech / pharma / bioprocess equipment industry is a strong plus. Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets. Comfortable engaging with customers from academic, government, and industry segments.
