Technical Sales Specialist – Scotland – Industrial Electrical Control & Automation Excellent basic salary negotiable based on experience, plus attractive benefits including a company car, pension, and buy/sell holidays. Join a growing team as a technically competent Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager, responsible for driving business development and sales in the industrial control and automation sector. Responsibilities Sell a range of high‑quality Industrial Automation products and solutions, such as PLCs, control gear, drives, sensors, HMIs, process instrumentation and e‑x equipment to OEMs, end users, system integrators and panel builders throughout Scotland.

Visit customer sites and premises, traveling 1‑2 days a week between home‑office and company office; work from the central‑belt M8 Glasgow‑Edinburgh corridor. Achieve defined sales targets, develop a personal sales plan, and manage an existing portfolio of accounts while continually identifying new business opportunities. Prepare and present technical product information and solutions to customers, translating customer requirements into appropriate product specifications.

Maintain accurate sales records, forecast future sales and report progress to senior management. Qualifications Proven track record as a business developer and sales engineer in industrial electrical control and automation. Sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry with a record of sales success.

Formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages and excellent organisational, communication and team‑working skills. Strong technical aptitude and ability to self‑direct a high level of autonomy.
