Position

Rundle College is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative teacher to teach 7-9 Science classes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Establish a warm, caring, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, respected and valued.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a personalized learning experience for all students.
• Communicate effectively with parents to provide ongoing feedback and support.
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings, assemblies and various professional development opportunities.
• Attend events, report for supervision, and contribute to the co-curricular offerings, as is expected of a full-time teacher at Rundle.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Knowledge, Skills & Technical Ability

• Alberta Teaching Certification
• Police information check completed with a vulnerable sector verification within the last 6 months.
• Must be flexible, collaborative and have a positive, growth mindset.
• Confident user of technology and able to utilize it in instructional practice.
• Ability to develop strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and administration.
• Demonstrate an open mind and desire to improve practice through professional reading and/or participating in relevant professional development opportunities.
• Previous experience working in an independent school is considered an asset.
• Coaching experience is considered an asset.
