Fully On‑Site | 30–50 Minutes Outside of Austin, TX Base Salary: $130,000–$165,000 + Bonus + Equity & Strong Benefits About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a fast‑growing aerospace and advanced manufacturing technology company operating in a highly regulated environment. This organization designs and builds complex systems used across space and airborne platforms, and they’re scaling rapidly. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on Tax Manager role for someone who enjoys owning the full tax function in a dynamic, startup‑like environment.
You’ll be the go‑to tax expert, partnering closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and external advisors while supporting a business dealing with complex federal, state, and international tax matters. What You’ll Be Doing Own and manage federal, state, local, and international income tax compliance, including filings, extensions, and payments Prepare and review income tax provisions and disclosures in accordance with ASC 740 (critical component of the role) Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including tax disclosures for 10‑Q and 10‑K filings Oversee indirect taxes such as sales/use, property, and excise taxes Maintain tax documentation to support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory requirements Partner closely with accounting to ensure accurate tax treatment in financial statements Support SOX compliance related to tax processes and internal controls Collaborate with external advisors on tax planning initiatives , including R&D credits, structuring, and incentives Assist with transfer pricing and international tax matters as the business continues to scale Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, and program teams in a regulated environment Manage relationships with external auditors, advisors, and government agencies What We’re Looking For (Must‑Haves) 7–9+ years of progressive tax experience (public accounting and/or in‑house; combination is ideal) Strong ASC 740 / tax provision experience (this is essential) Solid background in U.S. federal and multi‑state tax compliance Experience supporting tax in a regulated or manufacturing environment Ability to operate independently, own processes, and thrive in a fast‑moving organization Preferred (Nice to Have) CPA, MST, or similar certification Exposure to international tax and/or transfer pricing Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing Familiarity with FAR, CAS, or government contracting environments Experience with ERPs such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP Experience with tax software (OneSource, Corptax, or similar) Why This Role Stands Out High visibility role with real influence in a growing company Exposure to complex and interesting tax matters across multiple jurisdictions Equity participation and a strong overall benefits package Opportunity to build and shape the tax function as the company scales Stable, well‑funded organization with long‑term growth plans #J-18808-Ljbffr
