Application Deadline is April 15, 2026 at 11:59pm MST The Role Reporting to the Manager Tax, the Corporate Tax Analyst (Junior) is an entry‑to‑early‑career role focused on the hands‑on execution of corporate tax compliance and reporting activities. This position is ideal for a candidate who is eager to build a strong foundation in corporate taxation through direct involvement in detailed, ground‑level work.
The successful candidate will support the tax team by preparing calculations, gathering data, and maintaining documentation, while developing technical expertise under guidance from senior team members. What You'll Do - Key Responsibilities Prepare components of corporate income tax returns, including schedules, supporting calculations, and working papers. Prepare monthly GST returns.
Assist in the preparation of tax provisions, including data collection, reconciliations, and draft working papers. Extract and organize financial data from ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) to support tax filings and analysis. Perform detailed reconciliations and calculations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of tax data.
Maintain and update Excel‑based tax models and trackers, with a focus on accuracy and documentation. Assist in preparing supporting documentation for audits and tax authority requests. Compile working papers, memos, and files in accordance with internal standards and legislative requirements.
Support research on tax legislation and technical issues, summarizing findings for the team. Help track and maintain tax attributes (e.g., ACB, PUC, surplus balances). Collaborate with finance and other departments to gather required data and clarify inputs.
May perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring To The Role CPA designation (or working towards CPA) preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Must have 1–3 years of experience in tax or a related role, exposure to Canadian corporate tax or tax compliance is an asset. Experience working at a public practice is an asset. Proven ability to work effectively with key business stakeholders.
Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in written form. Self‑motivated, energetic team player, able to work well under pressure. Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
Ability to complete assignments on time and in a manner fully acceptable to the individual(s) requesting same. Demonstrates attention to detail in the performance of duties. Working Conditions The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
