Systems Development Engineer

Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, has been engaged to support the growth of a brand-new engineering team being established in Australia by one of the world's largest and most recognised technology organisations. We are seeking a Systems Development Engineer (SysDE) to join a highly technical team responsible for building and automating critical cloud and networking infrastructure supporting a major national technology program.

Circa $230,000 package + sign-on bonuses + equity

Role Details

• Design, develop and deploy software, automation and tooling supporting large-scale cloud and networking environments


• Build scalable systems and automation capabilities that improve operational efficiency, reliability and performance


• Work closely with network, infrastructure and software engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges at scale


• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, internal platforms and engineering solutions


• Contribute to the design, deployment and long-term operation of foundational infrastructure

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Java, C++, C# or similar modern languages


• Experience across Linux, cloud, infrastructure engineering, automation and systems engineering


• Background in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering or Network Automation


• Understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls and enterprise network environments


• Experience designing, building, deploying and supporting large-scale production systems
