Job Description

Based in Parry Sound, the Structural Engineer will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. The salary range is $80,000 – $107,000 annually. What You’ll Do Perform design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other recent and existing structures Review, check, and approve technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates Perform construction inspection Assist with project management and construction administration Liaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business development Participate in public and stakeholder consultation Oversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co‑op students Please note that this is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.

Who You Are You must have a P.Eng. licence (required) You have at least 5–10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry Bridge design experience is an asset Extensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an asset You have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results What You Should Bring The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related program.
