Structural Engineer

Job Summary The incumbent will be required to perform the following tasks, under the supervision of the discipline manager: Acting as a discipline officer in multidisciplinary industrial projects; Establish and maintain contact with clients to define needs, and present technical information, concepts or study results; Perform the designs and calculations of industrial structures in steel and reinforced concrete; Supervise and verify the work produced by engineers and technicians. Act as a mentor to CPIs; To produce technical opinions and recommendations on complex aspects related to the design of steel and reinforced concrete structures; Participate in the design of plans, specifications and details based on guidelines within the framework of industrial structure projects.

To do: Mastery of the codes and standards in force in Quebec; Enjoy working in a team and be able to communicate effectively; Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French. Your qualifications Hold a bachelor's degree in civil and/or construction engineering; Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial structure design; To be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec; Must hold a driver's license for travel to various sites; Knowledge of analysis software (SAFI) is an asset; Knowledge of English is considered an asset.
