Job Title Structural Engineer Location Austin, TX Job Type Hybrid Requisition ID STRUC006003 Responsibilities Determining client requirements and developing reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents. Visiting construction sites to monitor progress. Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects.

Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients. Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas. Coordinate the structural work required to complete projects with designers, graphics, other disciplines, and project managers while maintaining schedules set and budgets established.

Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions. Compensated overtime to fit project need and team workload. Required Qualifications Experience in the design of substation structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by IEEE, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.

Experience as structural lead on multiple concurrent projects. Proficient in concrete and structural steel design. Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.

Software: RISA or STAADPro, Mathcad, LPILE or MFAD (optional). PE License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience with substation structures/foundations and transmission foundations.
