Structural Design Engineer

JD – Structural Design Key responsibilities · Design and Analysis: Utilize advanced engineering principles and software tools, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, to design, analyze, and optimize structural components and systems. · Documentation and Specifications: Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, technical specifications, and comprehensive reports that support and validate design decisions. · Site and Project Management: Conduct on-site evaluations of existing structures to provide expert recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and retrofitting. Oversee project administration to ensure structural designs are implemented accurately and on schedule. · Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate seamlessly with architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders to integrate structural designs into overall project plans and resolve complex challenges. · Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all structural designs and project deliverables strictly comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as rigorous industry standards. · Mentorship and Development: Act as a technical leader by mentoring junior engineers, sharing advanced knowledge, and assisting in their professional growth. · Technology Leadership: Champion the use of BIM technology to create and manage structural models, ensuring a high level of accuracy and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications · Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. · 15-20 years of progressive professional experience in structural engineering. · Demonstrated proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM technology. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
