Overview Strategy & Operations Manager, you’ll work directly with our COO and Strategy & Operations Lead. You’ll take ownership of critical cross-functional initiatives, manage strategic planning processes, and ensure we’re tracking against company-wide priorities. This role is part operator, part strategic project manager, and part problem-solver.
You’ll have visibility across the entire company and play a key role in making important operational decisions. This role is ideal for someone who wants exposure to how a venture-backed startup operates and to accelerate impact and learning. What You’ll Own Company Operations Co-pilot the business alongside the COO Help manage cross-functional alignment across our Sales, Recruiting, Support, and Back Office functions Become a subject-matter expert who can handle escalations and build processes to mitigate future escalations Identify and address organizational bottlenecks Work with our data and product teams to track critical KPIs and make data-driven operational decisions Strategic Projects (both Product & Process) Own high-priority initiatives across the different domains of the business – from improving Top of Funnel spend on Recruiting to improving our Support Knowledge Base to managing multi-state compliance Work with the leadership team to prioritize the highest-impact initiatives Product Innovation – transform front-line insights into product requirements and partner with our Product team to solve operational and scaling challenges Chief of Staff responsibilities as needed Qualifications & Requirements 2–4 years into their career, ideally with experience in: Management consulting or investment banking Early-stage startups in Chief of Staff, BizOps, or strategy roles Operations or finance roles with high ownership and visibility A structured thinker with a bias for action — able to break down complex problems, drive clarity, and execute quickly Ability to operate both at 30,000 feet and in the weeds Highly resourceful — you anticipate, unblock, and move without waiting for direction Process-minded — you notice inefficiencies and create systems that scale, with strong pattern recognition and the ability to apply learnings to optimize a process Low ego, high horsepower — willing to do what needs to be done, from recruiting team members to strategic projects You Might Be a Fit If You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments You’re analytical and scrappy — proficient with Excel and not afraid to pick up the phone You’re comfortable managing up, down, and across You’re hungry to learn and grow, but humble enough to take notes and iterate quickly This Role Is Not For You If You’re looking for a highly structured or siloed role You’re not interested in owning multiple workstreams or jumping into unfamiliar territory You need to be told what to do — you can spot problems before they happen What We Offer Ownership and autonomy — small team with opportunity to own high-impact initiatives; you will work directly with the COO High exposure and impact across all areas of the business Competitive compensation and benefits package Equity ownership with meaningful upside as we scale Transparent leadership and mentorship from seasoned startup operators Hybrid work schedule from our Houston HQ Compensation Range: $75K - $90K #J-18808-Ljbffr
