Job Description
Job Title: Stock Controller - Ballymena
Staffline Recruitment is hiring a Stock Controller on behalf of our client, Pilgrim's Europe, based in Ballymena. This is a great opportunity to join a leading food production company in a role focused on stock accuracy and inventory control.
Rate of Pay: £13.01
Hours/Shift: 12hrs rotating shift, 6am-6pm
Contract type: Temporary to Permanent
About the Role
As Stock Controller, you'll carry out perpetual inventory checks on stock, investigating the root causes of cycle count discrepancies and stock adjustments. Reporting to the Chill Co-Ordinator, this is a key role within the Stock Control department.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily perpetual inventory audits, verifying physical stock against system records (Protean/Emydex/SAP)
- Report available stock on a daily basis
- Review daily cycle count and stock adjustment reports with Shift Manager/Supervisor
- Maintain accurate stock records and highlight any aged material
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock rotation
- Investigate stock adjustments and cycle count discrepancies, determining root cause and corrective action
- Investigate customer claims for shortages or over-deliveries
- Identify and manage surplus stock in line with company procedure
What We're Looking For
- Good level of general education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft packages
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Experience with Protean/Emydex ERP systems
- Experience in stock rotation and management
